PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Roslyn Water District will hold regular Board meetings on the first, second and third Thursday of each month at 9:00 A. M. In the event that a regularly scheduled meeting needs to be changed or additional meeting be added, a notice shall be posted as soon as possible in advance at the District Business Office, 24 West Shore Road. The meetings will take place at the District Office 24 West Shore Road, Roslyn, New York. All interested parties are invited to attend.

LEGAL NOTICE
Dated: April 2nd, 2020

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District will hold a Public Hearing, pursuant to the General Municipal Law, on April 29, 2020 at 7:00 P.M., at which time a hearing will be held regarding the withdrawal of funds from the District’s Capital Improvements Reserve Fund established by resolution No. 00-09 on December 14, 2000 in the amount of not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Fifty Two Thousand One Hundred ($1,252,100.00) dollars from these funds as the project progresses pursuant to General Municipal Law of the State of New York for the payment of engineering, legal and associated expenses, to be incurred by the District for designing Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) Treatment Systems at Pump Station Nos. 4 & 8  in the Roslyn Water District. All interested parties are invited to participate. In response to restrictions and concerns relative to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency the hearing will be held using a phone-conferencing platform pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1 which modifies the “Open Meetings Law”. Members of the public may listen to the meeting live by calling into the conference call. PUBLIC NOTICE
Dated: April 2nd, 2020

PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
ROSLYN WATER DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District have determined that it is necessary to install water treatment systems for the removal of emerging contaminants at  Well Nos. 4 and 8 in Roslyn Water District; and

WHEREAS, the District will incur project costs and associated expenses as a result of the engineering required for design of Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) treatment systems at Well Nos. 4 and 8 and,

WHEREAS, the Commissioners wish to pay for said expenditures from the Capital Improvement Reserve Fund established for such capital improvements;

NOW THERFORE, be it resolved the Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District, Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, State of New York draw the sum of up to One Million Two Hundred Fifty Two Thousand One Hundred ($1,252,100.00) dollars from the Capital Improvement Reserve Fund for the payment of engineering, legal and associated expenses, to be incurred by the District for designing Advanced Oxidation Treatment systems at Well Nos. 4 and 8 in the Roslyn Water District. All in accordance with the provisions of 6C of the General Municipal Law subject to a permissive referendum.

WHEREAS, the Comptroller of the State of New York has promulgated guidelines relative to a standard work day and;

WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District have reviewed the recommended guidelines now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District hereby establishes the following standard work day for the Commissioners for the purpose of determining days worked reportable to the New York State and Local Employees ' Retirement System:

WHEREAS, the Commissioners wish to pay for said expenditures from the Capital Improvement Reserve Fund established for such capital improvements;

NOW THERFORE, be it resolved the Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District, Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, State of New York draw the sum of up to four hundred thousand ($400,000.00) dollars from the Capital Improvement Reserve Fund for the payment of engineering, legal and associated expenses, to be incurred by the District for the Advanced Oxidation Treatment Process Pilot Study at Plant Nos. 4 and 8 in the Roslyn Water District. All in accordance with the provisions of 6C of the General Municipal Law subject to a permissive referendum.

Dated: May 16th, 2019

WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District have determined that it is necessary to renovate the Birch Drive Booster Station in Roslyn Water District, and

WHEREAS, the District will incur certain project costs and associated expenses as a result of the Birch Drive Booster Station renovation and

WHEREAS, the Commissioners wish to pay for said expenditures from the Capital Improvement Reserve Fund established for such capital improvements;

NOW THERFORE, be it resolved the Board of Commissioners of the Roslyn Water District, Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, State of New York draw the sum of up to one million five hundred thousand ($1,500,000.00) dollars from the Capital Improvement Re3serve Fund for te Payment of construction and associated expenses, to be incurred by the District for Rehabilitation of Birch Drive Pump

Station in the Roslyn Water District. All in accordance with the provisions of 6C of the General Municipal Law subject to a permissive refeerendum.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the fiscal affarirs of the Roslyn Water District for the period beginning January 1, 2018 and ending December 31, 2018 have been examined by an independent public accountant, and that the report of examination prepared in conjunction with the external audit by the independent public accountant has been filed in the District office at 24 West Shore Road, Roslyn New York where it is available as a public record for inspectionby all interested persons pursuant to Section 35 of theGeneral Municipal Law. The governing Board of the Roslyn Water District may at its descretion, prepare a written response to the report of the external audit submitted by the independent public accountant and file any such response in my office as a public record for inspection by all interested parties not later than ninety days from the date of this notice.
