Roslyn Water District Emergency Notification
NOTICE - JULY 21, 2011 - NO WATER EMERGENCY IN ROSLYN WATER DISTRICT. THE DISTRICT WATER CONSUMERS MAY CONTINUE TO CONSUME ROSLYN WATER. THE DISTRICT SUPPLY IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE RECENT E COLI PROBLEMS REPORTED IN OTHER AREAS OF LONG ISLAND.
On occasion the District needs to contact some, or all, members of the community. These situations can vary from a broken water main to a weather emergency.
To accomplish this the Roslyn Water District uses an automated program that allows the District to record and automatically broadcast voice messages to the entire District or those in a selected geography. This is faster and more economical than having staff go from door to door, or making individual telephone calls.
The District currently has a list of all published telephone numbers in the District. However, we recognize that special accommodations need to be made for the hearing impaired, for contacting friends or relatives of residents who may not be able to react in an emergency, and for other special circumstances.
To meet these special needs, the District offers a number of contact alternatives including: text messaging, email, secondary telephone numbers and/or cell phones.
Please fill out this form and send it to us only if you wish to provide the District with alternate telephone numbers or other means of contacting you.
The information provided will not be shared with any other entity, business or organization.
